Jogyakarta Trip

I had the opportunity to make a 4D3N vacation in Yogyakarta with my parents this July 2018, with the purpose of visiting the two UNESCO world heritage sites: Borobudur and Prambanan.

The idea of visiting Yogyakarta sprouted in April when I had decided to visit my parents in Penang, especially when I knew for some time that my father had always wanted to visit Borobudur - the biggest Buddhist temple in the world.

After some discussion with my parents over skype, we have decided to plan the trip ourselves. I was soon struck with the challenges and questions like:
1. Plane tickets
2. Lodging in Yogyakarta
3. Activities and Itinerary (So it will not stress out my parents)

We took AirAsia from Penang, transited in Kuala Lumpur to Yogyakarta, and we picked an apartment from AirBnB to put up for 3 nights. The link to the AirBnB apartment is as below:
The apartment is situated at a happening street called Jalan Kaliurang. The owner Nugroho and his brother Nanu are just excellent hosts. You can read the reviews of my stay below:

As for the itinerary, we planned it in such a way that it should be stress free and with ample time for rest.

Day 1:
